An Update from Reed Consulting Engineers on COVID19

We hope that you, your family and staff are well and staying safe.

We would like to take this opportunity to bring you up to date with what we, at Reed Consulting Engineers, are doing in these challenging times.

Thankfully, we were forward thinking when the company was in its infancy 5 years ago and somewhat anticipated that there may be times when it was necessary or even just beneficial for an employee to work from a remote location. We pride ourselves in investing in our employees and believe them to be our most valuable asset and for that reason, 2 weeks ago we recommended that all staff members relocate and work from home. We have successfully achieved this, and it is therefore ‘business as usual’ for RCE with some exceptions. 

We are successfully linking and coordinating with clients (and prospective clients) via phone, video links and conference calls. We all have cell phones and we are regularly checking emails. All calls to the main office are being automatically transferred to Frank’s cell phone. The company operates using a cloud-based server and can communicate in real time using Office 365 and TEAMS.

Following today’s government press release ordering construction sites to close, we will no longer be undertaking site visits; we are, however, fully operational otherwise and able to work on designs, calculations, drawings, reports and proposals.

We are well aware that COVID-19 will detrimentally impact the economy, at least in the short term, and for this reason, in an effort to stimulate work, we will be offering very competitive rates for our services and we will honour these rates throughout the duration of the project regardless of the economy at that time. We are committed to maintaining our staff levels and are working as many hours as is necessary to ensure that drawings are delivered more expeditiously than is typical.

We are aware that your business may soon be feeling the strain and ultimately suffer in the current economic environment. We are here for you.
